Member announcement: WE ARE OPEN
Over the last couple weeks we have seen a growing public health concern in regards to the COVID19. we have been researching preventative guidelines issued by the World Health Organization and the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Additionally, we have been in close communication with health care providers and local public health authorities to create a comprehensive plan to ensure the highest level of safety to both our students and instructors.
At this time we have NOT been advised to close and we will be running classes as usual. We have increased our already high standards of cleaning/sanitizing and have added additional sanitizing stations for our members.
We ask ALL of our members and parents to follow our gym etiquette on hygiene:
⭕️Do not come to the gym if you are sick
There is no such thing as “sweating out” a sickness just spreading germs to other students
⭕️keep your training gear clean
⭕️shower before and after training
⭕️if you have left the country please wait 14 days until coming back to the gym
⭕️keep finger/toe nails trimmed
⭕️if you feel any little bit of sickness just stay home
⭕️keep cuts etc cleaned and covered
⭕️sanitize your hands and feet before stepping onto the mats
⭕️if you show any signs of sickness you will be asked to leave and return when your feeling better
The protocol above is NOT NEW at Fifth Round. We have had our member hygiene protocol in place since opening. We are asking that our members/parents please follow it.
BE SMART – Stay informed, be aware of risks, but don’t panic. Use the discipline you learned at Fifth Round to create enhanced personal hygiene routines in your life. Wash your hands frequently, wash your uniform, and take a shower after practice, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. The CDC has put together an excellent website with plenty of information on the Coronavirus www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov.
See you at the gym
